I did mine just because I like the sounds of cars and turbochargers and I miss the noise and experience of riding a motorcycle. If you want to have something quiet, but "loud on weekends" you could maybe do an exhaust valve so its normally going through the stock exhaust system but doing a side-exist at the push of a button. Given that the stock system flows absolutely fine for anything you want to do with the stock turbo, it's hard to rationalize spending time and money (and it's a scale, more time = less money, more money = less time) to reengineer something when there really wasn't something wrong with the original one in the first place. Vibrant mufflers do a pretty good job of toning things down, as do Borla mufflers, but both are going to be louder than stock. You aren't going to get results on par with thermal's R&D without spending a bundle, so you might be better off throwing a stock muffler on there. To the OP - systems like the thermal are popular and expensive because of the materials, craftsmanship, but mostly the time spent on R&D. While doing R&D on my system I was always wearing etymotic er20xs earplugs to avoid damaging my ears with stuff in the sub-120hz range. Once you damage hearing, it does not heal. There are entire frequency ranges that kids can hear that adults cannot, and you risk harming their developing hearing with sub and super sonic frequencies. If you're going to be carrying children in the car, you *really* should go back to a stock one. It was a fun experience and I've definitely spent more money on less entertainment before my wife likes that I'm not constantly bringing home old project motorcycles to "fix and sell" (that I never get around to selling!). Full disclosure: I fully admit that I spent more than the cost of a Thermal doing my own R&D, but the cost isn't really an issue for me and I had fun doing it, so to me it was totally worth it (I'm even building a rev 2 right now, with a real helmholtz instead of a quarter wave resonator).

The exonym "Peguan" was originally adopted by the European writers at the time when Pegu was the capital of Lower Myanmar. During the pre-colonial era, the Burmese used the term Talaing (တလိုင်း), which was subsequently adopted by the British, who also referred to the Mon as Peguan, during the colonial era. In the Burmese language, the term Mon (spelt မွန်, pronounced ) is used. The Mon dialects of Thailand and Myanmar are mutually intelligible. The Mons from Thailand are referred as Thai Raman or Thai Mon. The Mons from Myanmar are called Burmese Mon or Myanmar Mon. Nowadays, the Mon are a major ethnic group in Myanmar and a minor ethnic group in Thailand. Historically, many cities in Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos today, including Yangon, Bangkok, and Vientiane were founded either by the Mon people or Mon rulers. The Mon are regarded as a large exporter of Southeast Asian culture. The civilizations founded by the Mon were some of the earliest in Thailand as well as Myanmar and Laos. The Mon were one of the earliest to reside in Southeast Asia, and were responsible for the spread of Theravada Buddhism in Mainland Southeast Asia. A number of languages in Mainland Southeast Asia are influenced by the Mon language, which is also in turn influenced by those languages. The native language is Mon, which belongs to the Monic branch of the Mon-Khmer language family and shares a common origin with the Nyah Kur language, which is spoken by the people of the same name that live in Northeastern Thailand. There are also small numbers of Mon people in West Garo Hills, calling themselves Man or Mann, who also came from Myanmar to Assam, ultimately residing in Garo Hills. info)) are an ethnic group who inhabit Lower Myanmar's Mon State, Kayin State, Kayah State, Tanintharyi Region, Bago Region, the Irrawaddy Delta, and several areas in Thailand (mostly in Pathum Thani province, Phra Pradaeng and Nong Ya Plong).Regardless, If you happen to be in downtown New York, visit the shop on 55 Spring Street, and I assure you that you will be as enchanted as I was.Ĭontinue reading to see how the pieces speak for themselves in the photo story below. The Mon ( Mon: ဂကူမည် Burmese: မွန်လူမျိုး, pronounced Thai: มอญ, pronounced listen ( help Maybe you had to be there, or maybe I am just utterly obsessed. It seemed so avant garde, so fantastical and odd. “How did you think of the name?” I asked her. Thus, Min and Mon was born from their marriage, and as a duo they married funk and fantasy into incredible bags, wallets, and more. After being together for some time, she used her “architectural” design skills to devise bag shapes while he used his art design acumen to create patterns and paintings. She married Andres, who worked in a coveted design job at LeSportSac (some of his art that is displayed in the store is photographed below). I imagined someone with this much talent would be traveling to far off lands while her minions did the dirty work.Īfter talking to her (I never got her name, only her husband Andres’s), I discovered that she hailed from Colombia and was a self-declared serial entrepreneur. But for me, who had indeed been obsessing over their website, I couldn’t believe the designer would simply be standing there. Maybe to someone who hadn’t been stalking this Instagram for months, this moment would not have been that big a deal. “I’m the designer,” she responded nonchalantly. The shop girl smiled and responded with in a subtle accent, “Thank you,” as if personally proud. The prices will skyrocket once its really discovered. The space is small, and might otherwise be dingy, but the bags, wallets, and bizarre "creature" keychains that lined the walls brought light to the room though the sun had already set at 4:30pm (a sad truth of living in New York in the winter).Īfter doing some embarrassing staring, I said to no one in particular, “This brand… It’s going to be so big. Well, it wasn’t actually a dream, it was an Instagram ad. However this gun does have a very impressive -20° depression angle which is more than enough to deal with any slopes. It also has a very curved trajectory, slow projectile velocity and poor penetration, leading to a challenging usability. The hull-mounted 75 mm gun may be useless for most of the time, since to maximise its armour effectiveness the B1 has to angle a lot, and given the hull-mounted gun's extremely limited horizontal traverse it can hardly aim at anything while the hull is angling. Elevation and depression angles are very good but turret slewing rate is a bit slow: this tank has been designed to be hull-down. The reload rate is average for its calibre but rather fast at this BR. The AP shell does a good job at breaking gun barrels and tracks, allowing the B1 bis to disarm/immobile an opponent prior to a flanking kill. Pz.IV F2, Cromwell) can still be penetrated with careful aiming and thorough knowledge on weak spots. Although this turreted armament is only good at firing light targets such as SPGs (eg. With the same gun as most other Rank 2 French tanks, the B1 bis will never be recognized for having a fearsome armament: penetration rates are even lower than most reserve tanks. Suspension wheels are 15 mm thick while tracks are 20 mm thick.Cast homogeneous armour (turret, 75 mm gun mantlet).Rolled homogeneous armour (hull, 47 mm gun mantlet). It may be a tricky shot, but there's only ~40 mm of armour there. However, if that isn't possible, you'll want to try and hit the "mailslot" of the turret ring. When fighting the B1 bis, due to the extremely heavy frontal armour, one should try to use mobility to flank the B1. Thus it is crucial to always angle the hull. Any tank with more than 55 mm penetration will be able to pierce your hull side at close range with minimal angle. This tank will get penetrated by some seemingly harmless vehicles, such as the Stuarts or even a Pz.II. In some situations, it can even be used as a breakthrough tank, rely on your own experience to guess when it is time to do so. Do not bother getting spotted: it is your job to stay in the enemies' sights while your lighter teammates do what they ought to. getting shot in the turret ring), there is usually enough men left to take the job left by their dead "camarade". The third thing to consider is your small and thick turret: hide that big clumsy hull behind a hill and pop out only your hard "head", take a shot, fall back, reload, repeat. Second, even if your armour is very strong for the BR, do not completely rely on it by sitting around in an open field: you will eventually get hit where it hurts. First of all, there are a lot of shot traps, the main ones being the turret ring and the hull gun mount, in order to minimize your enemies' chance to hit these weak spots, stay away from them. In order to effectively use this tank's armour, there is a few things to consider. Once you feel like bragging, you can post your World Discovery % and score on the Leaderboard. In 2011, a group of artists and arts organisations, under the banner of ACRE 2, gathered to discuss the role of rural culture in modern times. The idea was recently revived to create collaborations between a Victorian artist, Trevor Flinn, and a series of farming families. There’s an old tradition in parts of Australia called a Twiggy-stopping by the side of the road, lighting a fire and settling in for a chat.
